Drop-In Water Fitness classes are available at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center, Aloha Swim Center, Beaveton Swim Center, Harman Swim Center, Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center and Sunset Swim Center. Raleigh Swim Center also has aqua fitness classes during the summer months.
To make finding the right water fitness class easier than ever, THPRD is excited to announce updated class names and level definitions.
Join the fun and get energized with this non-impact deep water exercise. Experience fast-paced and challenging moves that will build your water endurance and pump your cardiovascular system. Special equipment can be used to increase resistance, strength and overall conditioning. Floatation belts are provided.
Shallow Water Fitness
Come enjoy this low-impact fitness class. You will experience lively music and a social atmosphere as challenging exercises improve your strength, flexibility and balance. This is a low to moderate intensity aquarobics class.
Level 1: Low Intensity
These classes will focus on breathing, stretching, range of motion, and balance. No experience is needed. Classes are appropriate for all fitness levels and those with arthritis.

Deep Water Fitness: Hydro Care
Level 2: Moderate Intensity
In this class, participants work on aerobic conditioning, strength, balance and flexibility. Suitable for all levels.
Shallow Water Fitness: Cardio Core
Deep Water Fitness: Dig Deep
Level 3: Moderate to High Intensity
Focus here is higher intensity and on building aerobic endurance and strength. Experience with water fitness classes is recommended.

Aqua Zumba®
Perfect for those looking to make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine. There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba® class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.
Cardio Core & Hydro Power
Shallow water exercise class focusing on cardiovascular conditioning, muscle fitness, and range-of-motion. For those looking to improve fitness by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise.
Dig Deep & Deep Water Warrior
This fun and challenging class will start your week off right and keep it going! The class emphasizes cardio conditioning as well as an abdominal workout that will inspire you to come back for more! Flotation belts provided.
Flex & Stretch
Don't let pain stop you from exercising. Water provides excellent resistance while giving comfort and support to your body. Increase your mobility and flexibility through water walking, stretching, range of motion, mild aerobics and more. If you have back problems, arthritis, surgery, fibromyalgia, and other pain issues or just want to get started with general exercise this class is designed for you. This class is also good for anyone needing increased flexibility and toning.
