Help everyone enjoy a good time on THPRD trails by practicing the following trail etiquette:
Stay on the right side of the trail.
When other users are present, groups should be in single file.
Travel at safe speeds that allow time to react to unforeseen hazards and the ability to slow down for corners.
Bicyclists should stay off pedestrian-only trails.
Slow down and use caution when approaching or overtaking other trail users.
Before passing another trail user, make your approach known in advance. Cyclists are encouraged to have and ring a bell when passing. A friendly greeting of, "passing on your left," also works well.
Joggers yield to walkers.
Bicyclists and skaters yield to walkers and joggers.
Bicyclists yield to skaters.
E-bikes yield to all users, including bicyclists.
Downhill users yield to uphill users.
Faster users yield to slower users.
Stay on designated trails.
Keep pets on a leash and under control. Note that pets are not allowed at the Cooper Mountain Nature Park or Tualatin Hills Nature Park
In addition to these suggestions, all other park regulations apply along trails.
