THPRD's Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation program provides access to recreation programs within THPRD to patrons who have developmental, learning, or physical disabilities or mental illness. Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation provides participants the opportunity to enjoy recreational, educational, and leisure offerings through THPRD.

Centro de Bienvenida (Program Registration)
THPRD’s Inclusion Services participates in Centro de Bienvenida! Individuals experiencing disabilities will now be able to make appointments with the Inclusion Services team to receive individualized registration support. 30 minute appointments can be made the week before program registration opens for each term. Therapeutic Recreation Programs
This program includes regularly scheduled programs for teens and adults. These programs take place most Monday and Thursday evenings. More information can be found on either the youth or adults programs pages.
Monday Night Adult TR

You can register online or at the front desk of any THPRD facility.
This is a recreation and socialization program for teens (ages 16+) and adults with developmental disabilities. Join us for dances, bingo, trivia nights, off-site activities, and much more. A detailed schedule can be found in the TR Times Newsletter or in our Activites Guide.
Wednesday Teen TR

Join us on Wednesday evenings for many different activities in this recreational and social program for teens (ages 13-20) experiencing disabilities. Enjoy outings, arts, dancing, and more!
Inclusive Yoga drop-in @ Garden Home Hosted by our Mobile Rec Program
Come to Garden Home Recreation Center on Wednesdays from 10:45a-11:45a for some relaxing yoga! All ages and abilities are welcome. Email inclusion@thprd.org for current dates.
Thursday Night All Stars Basketball
Thursday Night All Stars is a drop-in recreational program that provides a weekly opportunity for teens (ages 16+) and adults with developmental disabilities to play pick up basketball. This program includes 15 minutes of warm ups and drills followed by 2 officiated games. Staff and referees divide players into teams to play four quarters with participants subbing in and out. Thursday Night Wheelchair Basketball
Join THPRD for wheelchair basketball! This drop-in program provides a weekly opportunity for youth and adults experiencing physical disabilities to play wheelchair basketball.
Inclusion Services
THPRD's Inclusion Services program provides FREE individualized supports and accommodations that assist patrons with disabilities to participate in a wide variety of programs and activities available through THPRD. Participant Profile
Participants are required to complete an Intake Information form once a year while participating in Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation activities and/or requesting Inclusion Services. This form is used to provide emergency contact information, health conditions, and specific accommodation and support needs of participants.

Adaptive Aquatics
For many years, THPRD has been one of the area's leading providers of swim lessons to kids and adults experiencing disability. Currently, these classes are offered at Beaverton Swim Center and Harman Swim Center.
Adaptive swim lessons are designed for individuals (age 3 and older) with developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities. These one-on-one classes can be personalized for the needs of each participant.
To participate:

Currently, Harman Swim Center offers adaptive swim lessons.
