The Nature & Trails Advisory Committee's charge is to guide management of natural areas, associated community engagement, trail use and development. The committee reviews high-level content relating to natural areas, wildlife, environmental education, and trails to provide advice and help THPRD achieve success in the following areas: Comprehensive Plan goals 4, 5, 6, 8, Natural Resources and Trails Functional Plan implementation and review.

The THPRD Nature & Trails Advisory Committee meetings are normally conducted both digitally and in person depending on the meeting, members of the public are welcome to attend in any form.
Public Comment: Testimony is being accepted for this meeting by email. If you wish to submit testimony, please do so by 4 pm on the meeting date. Email testimony to b.barbarasch@thprd.org. Testimony received by the designated time will be read to the Commitee during Public Comment or the applicable agenda item with a 3-minute time limit.
Public Attendace: The public is welcome to attend the meeting on-line or in person if held as a hybrid meeting. To attend, please email b.barbarasch@thprd.org by 4 pm on the meeting date, to express your interest. You will receive an email with a link to join in the meeting.
Recruitment
THPRD recruits new volunteers to join the district's advisory committees each fall. Applications are closed for 2024. For future opportunities, applicants must be age 16+, live in-district and commit to a two-year term (starting January 2026) to qualify.
