Cardio for Kids- this 3:30 minute video shows 10 simple exercises you can do at home with your toddler.
Cardio for Adults
Stair Runs - Find a set of stairs in your neighborhood and see how many times you can run them. Begin at the bottom and run to the top. Jog back down to catch your breath and see if you can repeat the run back to the top? The downward run is also a workout as it uses different leg muscles, so overtime you’ll build your cardiovascular capacity and your leg strength.
Cardio for the Whole Family
Step Workout - Step up onto a stair step, or a box, for 30 seconds and notice how your heart rate elevates. Try this workout in timed intervals that allow you to rest in between, or increase your interval times from 30, 45 or 60 seconds as you work on your cardio endurance. This is a great workout to do at home and you’ll quickly feel the benefits of this short, simple workout. Make this workout a part of your regular routine if you want to improve your cardiovascular capacity.
