Registration Information
Summer registration opens April 12th, 2025. Register for camp online or in person at any THPRD facility. Camp filles up quickly so please DO NOT wait to register.
Once registration is received, Inclusion Staff will email a copy of the Camp Rivendale Application to you. This needs to be completed and returned within two weeks of your registration in order to ensure a fun experience for your camper.
At Camp Rivendale we prioritize safety, equity, and inclusion of our campers. In order to adhere to THPRD standards the capacity for camp is limited to 30 campers for each week. Once capacity is reached for each session you will be added to a waitlist and informed should space become available.

History
Staff named the camp for the Land of Rivendell, from the "Lord of the Rings" series by J.R.R. Tolkien. Rivendell was a magical world where everyone was happy and compatible and life was wonderful with no hardships, burdens, or sadness. An office worker mistakenly typed "R-i-v-e-n-d-a-l-e" as the camp's name; it seemed right and the spelling stuck.
Camp Rivendale is part of the 68-acre Jenkins Estate campus. Camp grounds feature restrooms, two office areas, two covered pavilions, and an accessible playground, and also provide pathways and trails, natural areas, maintained gardens, a fish pond, a foot bridge, and lots of open play area.
