The Fanno Farmers
This is a comprehensive 9-month preschool program inspired by the Reggio Emilia theory of education. Your child will academically learn with the same group of children, in the same classroom with the same teachers, for a traditional school year. We will focus each month on developmentally appropriate activities and intentional play used to promote children's growth. These areas include: cognitive, creative, language; literacy, math, motor skills and physical development, pro-social skills, and sensory / science. Our 4 & 5-year-old programs will work towards achieving Beaverton School District Kindergarten entrance benchmarks by the end of the school year.
The Fanno Farmers Preschool will take place at the historic Fanno Farmhouse; 8405 SW Creekside Place Beaverton, OR. (adjacent to Greenway Park, south of SW Hall Blvd.)
Our Bilingual Spanish Preschool
The classroom atmosphere is a creative, positive, and enriching experience mixed with Spanish culture and influences. Students will interact in Spanish and English throughout the class, while engaging in hands on activities such as, games, arts & crafts, songs, and more! We encourage children to develop their self-help, language and social-emotional skills in addition to academics. Our Bilingual Spanish Preschool has adopted the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. The main principles of this emergent curriculum include, emphasis on respect, the role of the environment, the role of the teacher and parent/guardian, the importance of time, & speaking in Spanish and English. This program will be housed out of Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center.
