Each year from September 15 to October 15, THPRD joins in celebrating Latine & Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the history, culture, and contributions of the diverse Latine and Hispanic community in Beaverton and across the nation.

This celebration began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week and grew into a month-long recognition that includes the independence dates of several Central and South American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico, Chile, and Belize.

Despite systemic barriers, Latine and Hispanic communities have shaped Oregon and Beaverton into more vibrant, welcoming places through contributions in art, culture, education, language, politics, business, entertainment, and technology.

At THPRD, we affirm and celebrate the richness, resilience, and power of Latine and Hispanic communities. We remain committed to supporting our Latine neighbors year-round, creating spaces where culture, connection, and belonging can flourish.

Mes de la Herencia Latine e Hispana

Cada año, del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre, THPRD se une a la celebración del Mes Nacional de la Herencia Latine e Hispana, honrando la historia, la cultura y las contribuciones de la diversa comunidad Latine e Hispana en Beaverton y en todo el país.

Esta conmemoración comenzó en 1968 como la Semana de la Herencia Hispana y creció hasta convertirse en un reconocimiento de un mes completo que incluye las fechas de independencia de varios países de Centro y Sudamérica: Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Chile y Belice.

A pesar de las barreras sistémicas, las comunidades Latinas e Hispanas han dado forma a Oregón y a Beaverton, convirtiéndolos en lugares más vibrantes y acogedores, a través de contribuciones en el arte, la cultura, la educación, el idioma, la política, los negocios, el entretenimiento y la tecnología.

En THPRD afirmamos y celebramos la riqueza, la resiliencia y la fortaleza de las comunidades Latinas e Hispanas. Seguimos comprometidos a apoyar a nuestros vecinos Latinos durante todo el año, creando espacios donde florezcan la cultura, la conexión y el sentido de pertenencia.
