Mountain View Champions Park is a 21.5-acre community park located in Aloha, adjacent to Mountain View Middle School. The park is unique as it was designed to be fully accessible to people experiencing disability. There are many special design features such as wider pathways, no steps, especially designed playground equipment, and the first synthetic sports field in Oregon designed for athletes of all abilities. The park was supported by generous donations from the community, including the Tualatin Hills Park Foundation. The project is a partnership between THPRD and the Beaverton School District.
The park's amenities designed for communities living with disability, include a 6,500-square-foot inclusive play area and sports field. These and more unique amenities were designed with input from people experiencing disabilities to ensure their perspective helped guide the design process. The park also features a second synthetic multi-sport field, a grass baseball/softball field, community gardens, tennis courts, a picnic shelter, parking, restrooms and concessions. The park will soon feature a multi-purpose sport court. To share your input or learn more about this sport court, please visit the IMPROVEMENTS tab above.
The park's name honors the partnership with Mountain View Middle School and all the many champions who enjoy inclusive play, contributed to the park design, and/or make the park a destination for people of all abilities.

Construction Update: THPRD continues to move toward construction of the new multi-purpose sport court at Mountain View Champions Park. THPRD bid the project for construction during the spring and the summer of 2023. No bids were submitted at the time and the construction timeline was temporarily paused. THPRD re-bid the project in February 2024 and construction is now anticipated to begin in late spring 2024 and expected to be finished in fall 2024.
About the Project: Like other features of the park, this sport court will be uniquely designed to be fully accessible to people experiencing disabilities, including:
Wide access paved pathways with soft-angle turns, soft slopes, no steps, and the most direct and shortest routes to and from the sport court and directional signage on accessways
Wide entrance gates into the sport court with direct alignment into the parking lot
Spectator areas for viewing the sport court with spaces for mobility devices, including wheelchairs
Additional parking, including ADA parking with curb-less transition to paved pathways
The sport court will be located just south of the existing community gardens along SW 170th Ave. THPRD engaged local community members to help decide the courts sports markings, which will include both futsal and pickleball.
