Located in the Bethany neighborhood, this 42-acre park consists primarily of lawn and trails surrounding Bethany Lake.
Bethany Lake Park is a destination for walkers, bikers, bird watchers, and anglers. It also has picnic tables and a community garden, and includes a half-mile segment of the Rock Creek Regional Trail.
Non-motorized watercrafts (i.e., kayaks, canoes) are now permitted in Bethany Lake.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks Bethany Lake with trout; it is one of three THPRD sites where fishing is welcome with a valid Oregon fishing license.
It is also a great spot for bird watchers and photographers, who seek out Great Blue Herons, red-tailed hawks, and osprey diving for fish.
Parking at Bethany Lake Park is provided off of NW 185th Avenue. The park can also be accessed via trail from NW Neakahnie Ave., or NW Columbia Ave.
