Join your middle school cross country team! Get involved in your school and meet new friends. Train two days a week at your school, then represent your school in a district meet with other BSD middle schools. The program is held outside, so dress for the weather. We go rain or shine!
Students in grades 6-8 who attend middle school in the Beaverton School District are eligible to participate in after-school recreation through Cedar Hills Recreation Center. Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:30 pm (except for ISB, which is from 3:15 to 4:15 pm) and run from September 12 through October 29.
There will be three meets plus a final district meet. Transportation is provided for the first three meets from the middle school to the meet location. All students will need to be picked up from the meet location; THPRD will not provide transportation home or back to the middle school. Warm-up will begin about 20 minutes before the start of the meet.

2025 Spring Track & Field
Join your middle school Track & Field team and train two days a week at your school’s campus. The season runs from March 6th through May 15th Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each school will be scheduled for offsite track and field meets (meet schedule TBD on a Tuesday or Thursday in March, April, or May).
THPRD will provide bus transportation from the middle schools to all scheduled meet locations (at local high schools). Adults are responsible for arranging transportation home from practices and meets, as no transportation home will be provided.
Regular practices at each school campus are from 4:15 to 5:30 pm (except for ISB, which is from 3:15 to 4:15 pm). The 2 regular meets will end at 7:30pm, and the District meet will end at 8pm. $8 fee for team shirt.
Events offered: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, javelin (Finnflier), discus, shot put, high jump, and long jump.

Join us for an exciting Middle School Track & Field Clinic, where young athletes will experience a preseason like no other. Whether you're interested in sprints, shot put, or other track and field events, our clinic will cover a wide range of disciplines to suit your interests. Held both indoors and outdoors.

Volunteers & Coaches needed!
We hire staff as head coaches each season. If you are interested, please apply here.
We also recruit volunteers to help out as Assistant Coaches for Track & Field each spring and Cross Country each fall. Volunteer coaches are expected to communicate avalibility to Head Coach and Program Coordinator. If you're interested in volunteering as an Assistant Coach, please complete this application.
Volunteers are needed to help run track meets each spring and summer and cross country meets each fall. Volunteers assist with welcoming athletes, providing support with timekeeping and assisting with various meet stations throughout each event. No experience is required. If you are interested in assisting with these meets, you can sign up to volunteer here.
