While contractor-led work at this site is complete, staff have continued treatment of target weed species and volunteers have been involved in planting additional native plants and monitoring for amphibians.
Project Summary & Public Benefits
The Natural Resources Department has enhanced the Tadpole Ponds area of the Tualatin Hills Nature Park by removing non-native weeds and establishing native shrubs. A variety of native vegetation was installed to improve habitat quality for a variety of wildlife species that uses the site, including the red-legged frog, a state-listed sensitive species.
