Project Summary & Public Benefits
When the district was preparing to place the 2008 bond measure before voters, residents were asked what they most wanted if the measure passed. Among the many wishes and needs, feedback indicated that athletic fields were needed in each quadrant of the district.
This bond project involves the conversion of an existing natural turf field to a synthetic field, the addition of field lighting and the addition of ADA access to the field. It implements the district's December 2014 agreement with the Beaverton School District and the district's committment to voters of the 2008 bond measure for the addition of a new athletic field in each quadrant of the district.
Completion of the project will result in a high quality, accessible youth athletic field within the district's southeast quadrant and will fulfill the district's 2008 bond measure commitment. The new synthetic field will be a long-term community asset that provides unique and quality recreational opportunities to district patrons.
Project Budget
$532,633 in bond program funding and $1,905,000 in funding from other sources.
