Project Summary & Public Benefits
When the district was preparing to place the 2008 bond before voters, residents were asked what they most wanted if the measure passed. Among the many wishes and needs, input indicated that athletic fields for kids age nine and under were lacking in several parts of the district. To that end, Meadow Waye was developed and completed in December 2010.
The park now includes a new multi-use field and play equipment. Benches, bike racks, trash receptacles, new signage, storm water swales, a seasonal restroom and picnic tables have been incorporated into the park.
The multipurpose athletic field serves as a practice site for soccer for kids ages nine and under. The open space allows for multi-sport pick-up games as well as an open area for community use.
