Foothills Park

Since completion of the bond funded restoration project, many groups and individuals have had a hand in continuing to improve this natural area.  Scout and volunteer groups have planted over 6,000 additional native plants at this site.  

Project Summary & Public Benefits

The natural areas of Foothills Park have been enhanced through removal of non-native plant species and replanting native shrubs and trees.  Native plants attract wildlife, such as birds and butterflies, to neighborhoods parks and natural areas.  The soft surface trail that runs the length of the park, north of the stream was also improved as part of this project.
