Project Summary & Public Benefits
This project encompassed redeveloping the existing community park near downtown Beaverton. The 2008 bond allowed THPRD to draw a first-ever master plan for the 10-acre Schiffler Park.
The master plan includes many new and updated additions such as play equipment with natural surfaces and textures, two picnic areas, pathways, gardens, athletic areas, a basketball court, a skate spot and a pavilion.
The new pavilion fulfills a recent Land and Water Conservation Fund grant award.
Because the park also envelops a wetland, habitat restoration will occur, as will construction of wetland overlook areas.
Project Budget
$3,500,000
