The safety of our patrons is one of THPRD's highest concerns. That's why passage of the 2008 bond measure was so important - it allows the district to attend to important maintenance work and structural upgrades at a number of facilities.

Several upgrades have been made to the popular Elsie Stuhr Center, including structural upgrades for seismic stability. Other upgrades include enlarging the fitness room and entrance, and creating additional parking spaces and other amenities for vehicles, pedestrians and buses.

Improvements at the Stuhr Center were completed in March, 2012.
