Cedar Mill Park was opened to the public in November 2014. The project included the redevelopment of the multipurpose sports field at the adjacent Cedar Mill Elementary School. The work followed an agreement with the Beaverton School District in 2013 for shared use of the school property.
A new athletic field was constructed in Cedar Mill Park which responds to a need that residents noted when the district was preparing to place the 2008 bond measure on the ballot. When asked what they most wanted if the measure passed, athletic fields ranked high on the list.
The park, located at 10385 NW Cornell Rd, now has new tennis courts, sports fields, trails and play equipment. Another new amenity is an asphalt path from the park to 106th and 107th Avenues, which also improves access to THPRD's Jackie Husen Park and Jordan Woods Natural Area.
Work at Cedar Mill Park also includes improvements to the natural area. Please see the Cedar Mill Park natural area restoration bond project web page for more details.
