Arnold Park

Park users have been enjoying the new play equipment since it was installed in summer 2010.

Project Summary & Public Benefits

Funds from the 2008 bond allowed THPRD to install new play equipment at Arnold Park. The colorful swings, ladders slides and other kid-friendly equipment replaces the older pieces, which were originally installed in the early 1980s. 

In addition to the new play equipment, the overall play area was relocated to the northeast and expanded by about 550 square feet. The expansion allows for greater play opportunities for all age groups and abilities. 

Additional improvements such as concrete curbing for containing the wood fiber safety surfacing, an ADA-accessible pathway from the existing pathway, shade trees, benches, picnic tables and/or trash receptacles were included.
