THPRD Virtual Town Hall Announced for May 19th
Please join the THPRD Board of Directors and staff to listen to a short presentation of what the district is working on for summer programming to begin in July. The public will be invited to share their input and ask questions.
The virtual Town Hall will be held on Tuesday, May 19 from 6 to 7 pm. People can join the Town Hall at https://bit.ly/THPRDTownHall. The event will be held via MS Teams. Directions for joining will be available on the District’s website, www.thprd.org. All attendees will be muted with the video off. Questions may be asked via the Q & A feature. People can also submit questions ahead of time by email hthompson@thprd.org.
“This is such a challenging time for everyone and as we make plans to revise our summer programming, we want to listen to the public about your needs and concerns, so we can adjust our summer plans to best serve you. We really appreciate people joining us for the Town Hall,” said Felicita Monteblanco, THPRD Board President.
Participants will be able to watch the event live, or view it later on the District’s Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/THPRDvideo.
In addition to the Town Hall, THPRD will host a community survey on the website at www.thprd.org. The survey will be launched on Monday, May 11. The District is also hosting several focus group sessions with community partners, regular users of summer programs/camps/classes, and non-English speakers. To learn more about these opportunities please email hthompson@thprd.org.
An update on THPRD’s summer programming will be publicly announced on June 1 on the District website. Summer camps and programming is anticipated to begin in July with the express understanding all camps and programming options must be in compliance with State of Oregon public health orders in effect. Adjustments to plans may need to happen as the public health response to COVID-19 evolves over time
